Pastor Dagoberto Cirilo was our missionary pilot to the Huichol people many years ago. Although he is now retired, these persecuted people remain close to his heart. He sent us this report:

“On Friday, December 20, 2024, I took a group of Master Guides from my church, and together we crossed the dam in the newly refurbished boat to visit our Huichol brothers and sisters who live just outside the edge of Huichol territory, across the dam from my home. “We visited Sister Hermelinda and her husband Marco, who live right next to the dam. Hermelinda was badly burned several years ago when the Christians were chased out of town and their homes were destroyed by fire. I had found her in agonizing pain a week after the fire. She was in the hospital for a year. During her time there, she fell and broke her hip. Therefore, she lives with the burn scars on her arms and back, and walks only with much pain. However, her faith in Jesus inspires those around her.”
The group shared and received joy in the presence of this faithful woman. Thank you for keeping the Huichol people in your prayers and planned giving.
